INCOGNITO was originally conceived of as a book (still being developed) so the play can be performed with a minimum of ‘stage craft’. In its early stages, the show was presented with Michael seated on a stool with a music stand in front of him – sort of ‘Readers’ Theatre’ style. Over the next three years the production added theatrical production elements and the show eventually grew to fill the 700 seat Kansas City Repertory Theatre complimented by a full set, lights, and sound design. It has been performed in gymnasiums, banquet rooms, lecture halls, churches, classrooms, and theaters of all sizes – adaptable to a variety of presentation spaces.
